Sculpted back in the 60’s by the great Bill Swan for the International Fiberglass company, the Muffler Men are giant fiberglass figures scattered across the USA. Used to draw attention for a variety of businesses, these statues are as popular today as they’ve ever been. In 2015 I decided to reproduce them as foot tall miniatures.
All of the Muffler Man statues I’ve made thus far starting with the Paul Bunyans:
My first batch of Muffler Man statues from 2015

Yellow cap, red shirt, blue pants Paul Bunyan

The owner of the Muffler Man that used to stand in Metairie, LA (before it was knocked down by hurricane Issac) asked me to make an early version of the giant holding one of those Little Tykes cars.
After seeing this statue, a friend of the owner asked me to make one in the New Orleans Saints color scheme but holding a local restaurant called Egg Roll House.
I thought it would be cool to rest the Egg Roll House on chopsticks.
Then another friend saw the second statue and asked for one in the original colors and mustache holding the Egg Roll House!
